A tailor's house, not a shop floor
It started with one bolt of ivory cotton.
Big Boss began as a two-table tailoring room where a father cut kurtas for the men of one neighbourhood, and — when asked nicely — a smaller version for their sons from whatever cloth was left. That leftover habit became the Twinning Edit.
Three generations later the drafting is the same: a paper pattern per customer, a single house palette of coffee brown, sand and warm ivory, and a refusal to add a motif that isn't earning its place.
What we insist on.
- Cloth first. Raw silk and long-staple cotton sourced in small lots from Bhagalpur and Coimbatore.
- Hand where it shows. Chikankari and zardozi worked by karigars we've bought from for over twenty years.
- Fit over flash. Every piece can be altered in store; wedding orders get two fittings as standard.
- Small runs. Never more than forty of a design.
